Import Data Platinum software overview

• The AccountPro Import software module automatically interfaces with and updates the master files (and transactions in the Sales Commission and Accounts Receivable modules) in AccountPro modules.
• If you are using an EXCEL Spreadsheet you can save the data in CSV format which the AccountPro Import module will read and import into the AccountPro data files.
• If you are able to export to an ASCII or CSV format from 3rd party software, the AccountPro Import Data module will read the data in the ASCII or CSV format file and update the selected master file in an AccountPro module, for example, a product master file.
• Fields in the import ASCII, import CSV, or import external data file, from which data is to be imported, may be seperated by comma, tab or other specified character.
• Text files stored in, or data exported to ASCII format are sometimes called ASCII files which makes it possible to transfer data (import) from an ASCII file into AcountPro modules by the Import data module.
• CSV, short for comma seperated values, another name for a comma delimited format of data.

• Depending on the AccountPro module you are importing data for, the import data module can import selected fields for:
  • Customer Lists
  • Vendor Lists
  • Employee Lists
  • Equipment Lists
  • Product Lists
  • Member Lists
  • Sales Commission Salespersons or Employees
  • Sales Commission Transactions
  • Accounts Receivable Transactions
  • Estimating Material Costs from the Product Master file in AccountPro Invoicing, Inventory Control, Equipment Maintenance and Purchase Orders Platinum modules

View Master Lists

• In addition to Data Import, depending on other AccountPro Platinum modules installed, you may view the following lists from within the Import Data module (data may be sorted by any of the displayed columns, ascending or descending):
  • Import Customer Lists
  • Import Vendor Lists
  • Import Employee Lists
  • Import Equipment Lists
  • Import Price Lists
  • Import Product Costs
  • Import Product Pricing Lists
  • Import Product Lists
